Не бойтесь говорить «нет»

1. Не бойтесь говорить «нет». Мы боимся сказать «нет» из-за излишнего стремления соблюдать нормы приличия, из-за боязни обидеть человека и даже из-за низкой самооценки. Помните, в принципе физически невозможно отвечать на любую просьбу положительно. В отказе нет ничего страшного.

2. Помните, что, взяв на себя слишком много обязанностей, у вас есть шанс попасть в цейтнот или «перегореть». Цените собственное время. Не стоит быть хорошим для всех. Вежливым — да, легко уязвимым — нет!

3. Кажущееся на первый взгляд грубое «нет» всегда можно заменить более лояльными фразами: «как-нибудь в другой раз», «простите, я не могу», «я рад, что вы поделились со мной, но я не смогу вам помочь», «возможно, вернемся к этому позже», «мне кажется, за помощью вам лучше обратиться к другому», «я не хочу делать то, что у меня не получится».

4. Всегда просите время на обдумывание просьбы. Во- первых, у вас действительно появляется время для трезвого анализа, во-вторых, вы избавляетесь от срочного стрессового выбора между «да» и «нет».

5. Если вы все-таки чувствуете себя некомфортно, отказывая человеку, задайте себе следующие вопросы: «Хочу ли я это сделать?», «Могу ли я это сделать?», «Есть ли у меня время и ресурсы для этого?», «Какие могут быть последствия от выполнения и невыполнения этой просьбы?»

В случае необходимости показывайте невыгодные последствия выполнения просьбы, например: «Вы хотите, чтобы я занялся этим проектом и при этом нарушил сроки выполнения приоритетного проекта Х?»
