Сергей Есенин: американские страсти рязанского гения

2 мая 1922 года всемирно известная американская танцовщица Айседора Дункан и поэт России Сергей Есенин поженились. Ей было 44 , ему – 26 лет. Она была феменисткой, он обожал патриархальную Русь. После создания семьи пара уехала жить в Америку и Европу.
За границей все воспринимали поэта Сергея Есенина лишь как «приложение» к несравненной Дункан, хотя на родине его чуть ли не боготворили. Роман, как и брак, двух творческих фигур продлился недолго. В 1923 году Айседора привезла “золотую голову” обратно в Россию. И сама уехала на гастроли по Европе. Отношениям пришел конец. Через месяц из Советского союза она получит от Есенина телеграмму, что он, мол, полюбил другую и счастлив. В 1925 году великого поэта  не станет,  он  трагически уйдет из жизни в  ленинградской гостинице “Англетер”.

Об Америке поэто писал в очерке “Железный Миргород” так:

“Владычество доллара съело в них все стремления к каким-либо сложным вопросам. Американец всецело погружается в “Business” и остального знать не желает. Искусство Америки на самой низшей степени развития. Там до сих пор остается неразрешенным вопрос: нравственно или безнравственно поставить памятник Эдгару По… Море огня с Бродвея освещает в Нью-Йорке толпы продажных и беспринципных журналистов. У нас таких и на порог не пускают, несмотря на то что мы живем чуть ли не при керосиновых лампах, а зачастую и совсем без огня”.

3 октября 1895  года на свет появился Сергей Есенин. Поэт родился под Рязанью в селе Константиново.
