Почему российские бизнесмены стали получать мальтийское гражданство

За последние три года около 730 человек с именами и фамилиями, характерными для России, получили мальтийское гражданство. Данный статус позволяет пересекать границы 166 государств без визы, в список государств входит и США.

Среди известных имен Аркадий Волож, основатель и совладелец “Яндекса”, Борис Минц, владелец инвестиционной компании 01 Group, Александр Несис, совладелец холдинговой компании ICT Holding. Все трое занимают почетные места в рейтинге богатейших людей России по версии Forbes.

Такой “гражданский выбор”  бизнесменов связан с  нежеланием миллиардеров платить налоги в России

 

Сегодня мальтийское гражданство можно получить  по программе “Гражданство в обмен на инвестиции”, условия действуют  с 2013 года. Согласно им желающий получить мальтийский паспорт должен сделать пожертвование, купить недвижимость и облигации. Минимальная сумма, которую нужно вложить в экономику страны, составляет 880 тысяч евро без учета комиссии и сборов.
